What Do the Farmers Market, Cool Cars, Obamacare and Flood Mitigation Have in Common?

They're all related to our Wednesday activities. If you've got something else planned, let us know what it is in the comments.

It's Wednesday. Looking for something to do? Following are a couple of suggestions: two fun things, and two that are all business.

Do I really have to go over this again? Wednesdays are the best night in downtown Elmhurst.

Stormwater Presentation at the Abbey

The city of Elmhurst and Burke Engineering will give a presentation at tonight's Elmhurst Park Board meeting at 7 p.m. at The Abbey, 407 W. St. Charles Road. The city will propose dredging up several Elmhurst parks so they can be used for water retention during heavy rains. This meeting was originally scheduled earlier this summer, but it was postponed due to … wait for it … heavy storms. Oh the irony. They chose The Abbey for this meeting because they're expecting a large crowd. Let's not disappoint! Public comment will be accepted.

Obamacare for Small Business

Learn the top four things you need to know about the new law, even if you are not required to offer a plan, including restrictions on reimbursing employees who buy individual coverage through the exchange and requirements for employers whether you decide to offer a health plan or not. The meeting starts at 1 p.m. Register here.
