GreenMan Theatre Arts Program for Teens Begins in July

245 E Crestview Ave, Elmhurst, IL | Get Directions »
$90.00

GreenMan Theatre Troupe will offer theatre arts programs designed to challenge, engage and inspire. Whether you are just curious about theatre or are currently auditioning and acting, you are sure to find a session to help you develop your passion for theatre!

Do you have, or know, a teenager who loves theatre and improvisational drama? Then GreenMan Theatre’s first collaboration with the Elmhurst Park District might just be the thing your teenager is looking for.

GreenMan Theatre Troupe's Acting Class for Teens ages 14 to 17 will focus on acting through improvisational games and improvised scenes and will be taught by one of GreenMan Theatre's directors and a longtime educator, Carolyn Thomas-Davidoff. This improvisation and acting class will also look at how improvisation can be used to explore scripted material. The class will culminate with a performance for family and friends.

This summer opportunity for teenagers who love drama will run Tuesdays and Thursdays July 10-26 from 1 to 3 PM and the performance will take place Thursday July 26th from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Both the class and performance will take place at the Crestview Recreational Building at 245 E. Crestview Ave. in Elmhurst. The fee for the class is $90 for Elmhurst residents and $113 for non-residents. GreenMan programs are partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
