The Cougar Baseball & Softball Club is an independent organization of full-time traveling teams from Elmhurst, Illinois. Formed in 1992, the Cougars are Elmhurst's original travel boys baseball and girls fast-pitch softball organization.
If you want to take your fast-pitch game to the next level we are the club for you. The Cougars are a professional organization committed to providing girls aged 10 — 18 the finest softball experience, the development of their softball skills, and fun! Guess what, we have proof—in 2011 the Cougars graduated 10 of our players to their high school baseball teams! 8 of the 10 2011 Cougar players became York Duke softball players!
Want in? Please join us at our tryouts and on Saturday, August, 4th at Salt Creek Park. The park is located at the corner of 574 W 2nd St in Elmhurst. The rain-out date will be Sunday, August 5th. Cut-off date for all girls age-groups is January 1st. Times by age-group are:
- 10 & 12U: 2:30-4:30PM
- 14U: 9:00AM-1:00PM (* 2 Teams @ 14U *)
- 16U: 12:00—2:00PM
- 18U: 4:30-6:30PM

More About Plunkett Park
Named after the Rev. Msgr. William J. Plunkett, a priest at Immaculate Conception Parish in Elmhurst, Plunkett Park is a prime spot for baseball games under the lights. Immaculate Conception High School used the land for its athletic field prior to selling the property to the Park District in 1971. The school still hosts home games here. At the south end of Plunkett Park is Courts Plus, a center for health, sports and fitness run by the Elmhurst Park District. Courts Plus includes a lap pool, fitness center, racquet sports, a climbing wall and lots of group exercise classes.
