Compete in the Smalley Pool Cardboard Boat Regatta
ELMHURST, Ill. – Calling all who are interested in building and boating! Your mission is to build a boat out of cardboard and duct tape at home that is capable of being launched and paddled across Smalley Pool, all while holding two people!
The event will take place on Saturday, July 14, and ages six and up are welcome to participate. Each age group will have the opportunity to win different awards. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. and the first heat will begin at 9 a.m. There is a $12 boat fee for each boat entered.
Registration packets can be picked up at the Wagner Community Center and East End or Smalley Pools.

Norman P. Smalley Pool is located at York Commons Park. Featuring highly trained lifeguards, the pool offers both group and private swim lessons, memberships and daily admission. The pool can be rented for parties of up to 200 guests.
