The York girls swimming and diving team finished fifth (163 points) at Saturday’s West Suburban Conference Silver Division Meet at Hinsdale Central.
Freshman Paula Nolte took the top spot in the varsity 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.73).
York will host the IHSA Sectional Nov. 10. First-place finishers and entries that achieve state-qualifying standards in the sectional meet qualify for the state meet.
In Saturday’s other Silver Meets, York finished fourth on the junior varsity level (155 points) and sixth on the freshman-sophomore level (148).

Kirsten Rasnic won the JV 200 IM (2:26.95) and also took the WSC title in the JV 100 breaststroke (1:14.74). Maggie Schlecht was third in the FS 50 freestyle (26.65) and second in the FS 100 freestyle (57.52). Lydia Faber was second in the FS 500 freestyle (5:38.25) and fifth in the FS 200 freestyle (2:08.44). Hannah Nolte was third in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 backstroke (1:02.23). Abby Ries was fifth in the JV 100 butterfly (1.09.73). Alison Brodt was sixth in the varsity 500 freestyle (5:29.30). Jessica Sacksteder was sixth in the JV 50 freestyle (28.22). Juliana Reinhofer was seventh in varsity 100 breaststroke (1:13.18).
