York Girls Swim & Dive Bests Hinsdale Central Oct. 4

 

On Thursday, Oct. 4, York continued it’s conference duals in Girls Swimming and Diving against West Suburban Conference rival Hinsdale Central. The host team York Dukes won 97 – 89 to bring its conference season to 2-1 (4-2 overall) in dual meets.

The Dukes placed in the top three in the following individual races:

• Shannon Sullivan 1st and Alison Brodt 3rd - 200 freestyle
• Carly Redmond 2nd and Kelly Dunbar 3rd - 200 IM
• Hannah Nolte Tie for 1st and Paige Jaeger 3rd - 50 freestyle
• Sullivan 1st and Redmond 2nd - 100 freestyle
• Brodt 2nd and Anna Pankau 3rd - 500 freestyle
• H. Nolte 1st and Jessica Woolfe 2nd - 100 backstroke
• Paula Nolte 1st and Kirsten Rasnic 3rd - 100 breaststroke

The Dukes placed in the top three in these relay races:

• Woolfe, P. Nolte, Katie Sullivan, Jaeger 2nd (1:55.85 new F/S York record) and Perri Brinkmeier, Juliana Reinhofer, Jessica Sacksteder, Anna Pankau 3rd - 200 medley relay
• Woolfe, Redmond, Sullivan, H. Nolte 1st and Brinkmeier, Jaeger, Sacksteder, Sam Marlott 3rd - 200 freestyle relay
• Woolfe, H. Nolte, Redmond, Sullivan 1st - 400 freestyle relay

York continues West Suburban Conference Silver action Thursday hosting Oak Park- River Forest.
