Weekend Brawl at the Waverton Hotel Results in Three Arrests
Two people were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
A weekend brawl at the Waverton Hotel, 624 N. York, resulted in the arrest of three people, Elmhurst police said.
Police from multiple jurisdictions responded to a fight involving 20 to 25 people that erupted in the bar area of the hotel and waterpark at 12:31 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. When they arrived, they found a victim "bleeding profusely from a cut on the face," according to a police report.
Arrested were Tieasha Parker, 30, 15215 S. Wood, Harvey; Shakara Taylor, 20, 5900 W. Walter, Chicago; and Shannell Thomas, 34, 3823 Euclid, East Chicago, Ind. All three were charged with disorderly conduct, causing/provoking a brawl.
Both the victim and Thomas were taken to the hospital, and all three offenders were released on bond.
