Two Killed in Elmhurst Crash on Tri-State Thursday
In a second, unrelated incident, a car was pushed against the guard rail of an elevated ramp.
Two people were killed in a car crash around 5:47 a.m. on Thursday morning on the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) near Lake Street in Elmhurst, the Daily Herald reports.
According to the paper, Sgt. Bob Deel of the Illinois Tollway said that the crash involved a tractor-trailer colliding with a car, with four other cars also being involved. No further details were available.
Deel also told the Suburban Life that, in an unrelated incident around the same time and in the same area, a single vehicle was involved in a crash on an elevated ramp where the car was pushed up onto the guard rail.
