They Did the What at Nu Crepes Last Weekend?
When we said Nu Crepes would be shaking things up on Schiller Court, we had no idea how right we were.
First there were flash mobs. Then everybody was doing it Gangnam style. So what's the latest trend to go viral?
It's the 30-second Harlem Shake. Featuring costumed, convulsive dancers, it just went viral this month on YouTube—and it's taken hold in Elmhurst.
On Friday, Feb. 15, a group of Elmhurst crazies—er, uh, perfectly sane folks—were recruited on Facebook to meet at Nu Crepes in Elmhurst to make a little video. Nu Crepes owner Niall Martin and his family, including mom and dad, along with locals of all ages, broke out into the "spontaneous" Harlem Shake.
When we first wrote about the restaurant's opening last September, we said Nu Crepes would be "shaking things up" on Schiller Court. We had no idea how right we were.
There is really no way to describe Nu Crepes' Harlem Shake, so hesitate no more. Click "play" on the attached video and find out how much fun was being had at the little creperie last weekend.

Great to see the local action at this fine place to grab a snack or meal - love the dance steps, all over the place - btw - there is shuffling going on all over the place - see another Elmhurst's own - Henry Benson, proud gopher freshman at Univ. of Minnesota - out there in the sub zero temperatures, they too can do the Harlem Shuffle http://goo.gl/uJSHs
