A number of physicians on the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital medical staff were named among the area’s top physicians for women. Published in the January issue of Chicago magazine, the list of Top Doctors for Women consists of 250 local physicians from 15 medical specialties who deal with women’s health issues.

Following are the members of the EMH Medical staff who were included on the list, along with the subspecialties or areas of special interest they were recognized for:

• Dr.  John Cahill, angiography and interventional cardiology
• Dr. Linda Fisher, geriatric medicine and women’s health ·
• Dr. Joseph Marek, hypertension, preventive cardiology and coronary artery disease
• Dr. Louis McKeever, interventional cardiology
• Dr. Ronald Potkul, ovarian, cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancer, and robotic surgery
• Dr. R. Andrew Rauh, congestive heart failure
• Dr. Donna Smith, cervical cancer and ovarian cancer
• Dr. Sandra Valaitis, pelvic organ prolapse repair and incontinence
• Dr. Diane Wallis, heart disease in women, preventive cardiology and echocardiography
