Readers' Choice: Favorite 'Staycation' Destination in Elmhurst
Sure, there are summer camps for the kids, but what's your favorite family activity in town?
School will be out soon and our traditional routines will give way (hopefully) to a more relaxed pace and more leisure time with family.
Many families probably are planning a summer trip to the islands, the mountains or simply a favorite spot in the Midwest. But what will you be doing the rest of the summer? How will the weekends look right here in town? And, let's face it. Money is tight, gas is out of sight. Maybe there won't even be a full-on trip this summer.
Fortunately, there are plenty of fun things to right here in town. We want to know your favorite.
Listed below are some of the things we found to do in Elmhurst over the summer months. Click on your favorite to take you to the directory listing for that business and give it a rating up to five stars. Leave a written review on the directory listing, if you'd like. If the event doesn't have a directory listing associated with it (Jaycees Carnival), give it a rating in the comments below. We will tally all the ratings, reviews and comments and announce a winner next month.
While you're at it, take our poll at the end of this article and let us know your favorite "totally free" activities.
If we've overlooked the perfect staycation destination, please let us know in the comments.
