Police Say Victims in Villa Park Fire Were Murdered

It turns out the four people who were after a house fire at Summit and Roosevelt roads in unincorporated Villa Park had been shot, multiple news sources are reporting.

Ursula Nailor, 37; her sons, Darnell Holt, 16, and Dan Nailor, 13; and her niece, Dominique Robinson, 19,  were likely murdered before the fire was set, Fox News Chicago is reporting.

Police suspect that Nailor's boyfriend, Cedric Anderson, shot the four, set the house on fire and then killed himself. He was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound yesterday afternoon in Dolton.

A note and a .357 magnum believed used in the shootings was found at the Dolton home, The Chicago Tribune is reporting. Anderson had a long criminal history in Cook County.

Sheriff's officials were calling the fire "suspicious" from the beginning, and brought in dogs to sniff for accelerants.

Nailor was a school bus driver at Falcon Transportation in Chicago. The owner of the company said she was a dedicated employee and a loving mother. Her sons were students at Albright Middle School and Willowbrook High School, reports say.

"She talked a lot about her kids and cared a lot about her kids," Peterson said Tuesday. "It's just tragic."
