Snorting Coke While Driving, DUI with a 4-year-old and Arrest After Lockout Reported by Elmhurst Police

Rudolph Laurendi, 52, 754 S. Mitchell, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs at 3:13 p.m. June 25. A witness reportedly saw Laurendi snort cocaine while driving in the area of York and Butterfield roads. He also was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, driving without insurance, driving without a license, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane use. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Evan E. May, 19, 38 S. Illinois, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of drugs at 12:55 a.m. June 25 after a traffic stop at North Avenue and Elm Street. He was released on I-bond.
Raquel V. Martinez, 40, 342 Danbury Drive, Naperville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, following too closely and speeding after a traffic stop at Roosevelt and Route 83 at 3:10 a.m. June 25. She was released on bond.
Pedro Garcia, 23, 1310 N. 33rd, Melrose Park, was arrested and charged with DUI and endangering the health of a child after a traffic stop at North and Villa avenues at 2:17 a.m. June 26. His 4-year-old daughter, who was in the vehicle, was released to her mother, who arrived at the scene. Garcia was released on I-bond.
Alexis A. Lemieux, 29, 644 Dana Court Unit C, Naperville, was arrested and charged with DUI after a traffic stop at York and Robert Palmer Drive at 2:20 a.m. June 26. She was released on I-bond.
Michael A. Ostonko, 31, 3716 St. Paul Ave., Bellwood, was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI, driving with a suspended license, speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol and operating an uninsured vehicle after a traffic stop at 5:43 a.m. June 27 at 215 S. Route 83. He was taken to DuPage County Jail and his vehicle towed for forfeiture.
Cardell D. Fails, 20, 1607 S. 14th Ave., Maywood, was arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol and zero tolerance/driving with a blood alcohol content over .0 percent after a traffic stop at North and Emroy at 2:04 a.m. June 25. Fails was released on bond.
Bicyclist Hit by Car
A 46-year-old Elmhurst woman was struck by a car driven by a 17-year-old Bensenville boy while she was riding her bicycle at 10:13 a.m. June 27 at West and Lake streets. She was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A fight broke out among a group of teens at 9:52 p.m. June 25 after one boy’s skateboard was reportedly stolen. The boy and his friends found the suspect in the area of Third and Larch streets and they began fighting. A witness saw one of the suspects get out of an SUV and punch the victim in the mouth, then the other suspects began kicking him. A woman in an apartment building began yelling and the suspects drove away. The victim was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
A resident of the 600 block of South Prospect told police she received a phone call from an unknown woman. The caller said the complainant’s 8-year-old daughter had been texting provocative messages to the caller’s fiancé. Police believe a phone application is being used that allows a caller to call a number and have a different number show up on the caller ID.
Crash Leads to Multiple Arrests
Four teens were arrested after the vehicle they were in struck a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Chicago man at 5:44 p.m. June 27 at 954 N. York. The driver, a 17-year-old girl, was charged with failure to yield and exceeding the one-passenger limit. One 17-year-old boy was charged with possession of tobacco, and another 17-year-old boy was charged with possession of cannabis. A third passenger, Giovanni Roman, 20, 10126 Armitage, Melrose Park, was charged with possession of alcohol and possession of cannabis. They were released on I-bonds.
Lock-out Leads to Arrest
A man who needed assistance after he locked his keys in his car at 6:06 p.m. June 27 at his home was found to have a warrant out of Alabama for fraud. Earon D. Randle, 42, 477 S. Spring Road #5, Elmhurst, was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor
Megan B. Hubbard, 20, 476 Main St., Lombard, was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor after the vehicle she was riding in was pulled over at Fairfield and Madison streets at 4:19 a.m. June 25.
