No Parachuters at Elmhurst College Homecoming Saturday

Possible inclement weather forces parachuting troop to cancel; American Legion Post 187 to present ball just before kickoff.

Due to the likelihood of inclement weather, The Screaming Eagles parachuting team has canceled its scheduled appearance at Elmhurst College's homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 13.

The homecoming game against Wheaton College will open with members of American Legion Post 187 presenting the colors and delivering the game ball at midfield to Elmhurst College President S. Alan Ray.

The national anthem will be performed by John Vincent Pierorazio, Class of ’96, a well-known vocalist and Frank Sinatra impersonator who recently was recognized by Chicago magazine as Chicago's Best Sinatra Impersonator.

Special reserved seating at the game will be available for military families, and all veterans will be admitted free. Tickets to the homecoming game may be purchased on game day at Langhorst Field. Gates open at noon. Tickets are $6 for adults, students and seniors are $3 (with ID), and children 9 and under are free. Elmhurst College alumni are free, as are Elmhurst College students, faculty and staff with a Jaypass.
