Man Pulls a Gun on Three People Walking in Wilder Park Tuesday

The victims said they think the gun might have been a toy.

Three people walking in Wilder Park were confronted by two men with a gun Tuesday evening, Elmhurst police said.

Police responded to the park after receiving a call for an attempted armed robbery at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. The three victims told police that two black men in their late teens approached them. One of them took out a silver handgun, cocked it and placed it to one victim's head. The three told police that when the man cocked the gun, it sounded like it was made out of plastic, so they continued walking.

They said the suspects ran away, toward Immaculate Conception High School. Police set up a perimeter and conducted a K-9 search, but the suspects were not found.

Absolutely agree!! When people are cocked guns put their heads in an historically safe place like Wilder Park, it's time for people to take more drastic measures to protect themselves.

Or just confuse them by walking away! Sidenote, the K9 is not having a good week.

believe me if one of those kids got caught, they would be facing 6-30 class x armed robbery, and in dupage county you arent getting probation on that you are doing 6 years
