Lady Knights Softball Beats Walther Lutheran 11-1
ICHS now 4-4, 2-0 in conference after Monday's game.
On a chilly Monday, April 2, Immaculate Conception High School Varsity Softball Team welcomed Walther Lutheran to Plunkett Park in Elmhurst in a Suburban Christian Conference Gold matchup.
It took the Knights offense a little time to get warmed up, but after IC took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, they used a 15-hit attack to post a 11-1 victory over Walther Lutheran in five innings.
Maria Kieliszewski (3-for-4, RBI), Jessica Conenna (2-for-3, 2-RBI), Gabby Davis (2-for-3, RBI), Lindsey Montoya, (2-for-3, RBI) Jocelyn Sanchez ( 1-for-2, sac, RBI, SB) Megan Sutton (1-for-2) and Gabby Curran (2-for-4, triple, RBI) paced IC as every Knight player in the line up earned a hit.
Jessica Conenna (3-3) got the start in the circle for IC scattering 5 hits and striking out 9 in the win.
