Libertyfest provided four days of fun for area families.

Thousands attended this year’s Libertyfest, sponsored by Bensenville, Elmhurst, Wood Dale and Addison. Over the four days of the festival, families enjoyed a carnival, parade, magic shows, duck races, tons of local bands and two fireworks shows.

Libertyfest was a wonderful event that was very well executed. Thank you to all of those individuals and organizations that made this happen.

I could not help but notice and feel envious of the fact that the park had several shelters and volleyball courts. I have written extensively over the years suggesting that all of Elmhursts parks incorporate these features.

Recent storms had people ducking under tree's, which is dangerous. Shelters with
lighting protection would have been nice. East End park has no shelters nor does it have volleyball. We really need these shelters. Do you agree?
