Help Your School Win $150,000 From U.S. Cellular

Find out how to vote for local schools to win a donation from U.S. Cellular, which is giving away a total of $1 million.

U.S. Cellular announced the return of its Calling All Communities campaign. For the fourth year, U.S. Cellular is giving $1 million to schools to improve the education. The campaign invites communities to band together to vote for their school by visiting their local U.S. Cellular store to pick up a voting code and entering it online at uscellular.com. Check out locations in and around Elmhurst by clicking here.

Voting began Sept. 14 and runs through Oct. 21.

The school that garners the most community votes will win $150,000, and the next 17 schools with the most votes will receive $50,000. Calling All Communities is open to all K-12 schools, big or small, public or private. Each winning school can use the money however it chooses.

Carter S. Elenz, executive vice president of sales and customer service for U.S. Cellular, said, “Each year we are more and more excited to see the results pour in. All of us at U.S. Cellular truly become attached to seeing our communities band together for their schools. And as we’re all aware during an election year, every vote counts!”

Last year’s local winners included Mother Teresa Catholic Academy in Crete, IL, Cardinal Joseph Bernardin School in Orland Hills, IL, and Woodland Elementary in Joliet, IL. All three invested in new classroom resources, and Mother Teresa Catholic Academy also used portions of the reward to build a new playground. Woodland Elementary was able to program additional field trips.
