2. "Elvis" returns
Bob West's Tribute to Elvis will be preceded by the Friday Night Fish Fry, from 6-8:30 p.m., Friday, at Elmhurst Legion Hall, 310 W Butterfield Rd.
3. String some beads
Nancy Knight, artist and owner of Blue Frog Beads in Villa Park, teaches participants the materials and tools used in bead stringing, Saturday at the Lizzandro Museum of Lapidary Art, 220 S. Cottage Hill Ave. Create a bracelet to take home. All materials are provided. Ages 12 to adult. Classes at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Reservations required.
4. Find financial peace
Redeemer Lutheran Church, 345 S Kenilworth Ave., will host Financial Peace University, a 13-lesson curriculum developed by Dave Ramsey covering every aspect of personal and family finance, beginning Sunday. Childcare may be offered.
5. Take a dip
Bring your family for a fun-filled time at York High School’s swimming pool. The pool will once again be available for the Elmhurst Park District pool pass holders. Lap swimming, open swim and diving boards will be available for use. Have some splashtacular fun on Jan. 23, Feb. 13, and 27, and March 6 and 20.
