Game Six Tonight in What is Turning Out to Be a Very Rough Season for the Dukes
York takes on Downers Grove North at home.
We really wish we didn't have to say it again: Dukes Football is still winless, now five games into the season.
The Dukes want it bad and they're going to fight hard for a win tonight against Conference rival Downers Grove North at York Stadium, St. Charles and Spring Road. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
The Trojans (4-1) won their cross-town classic last weekend against Downers Grove South 27-20. Other wins this seasons have been tallied against Oak Park-River Forest, Sept. 7 (16-14); Morton, Aug. 31 (31-6); and Lockport Township, Aug. 24 (27-7). Their only loss was to Lyons Township Sept. 14, when they were shut out 31-0.
York lost last week to Proviso West 14-0 on a soggy home field.
The tables have turned from last year's matchup. DGN didn't stand a chance against York's strong offense, and the Dukes shut them out 41-0. But the Dukes are the underdog coming into tonight's game, ranked 299 in the state against the Trojan's 136, according to MaxPreps. Rain shouldn't be a factor.
Here's a look at York's remaining three games:
| Date | Time | H/A | Opponent |
| Oct. 6 | 1:30 | A | Lyons Township High School (La Grange) |
| Oct. 12 | 7:30 | H | Glenbard West High School (Glen Ellyn) |
| Oct. 19 | 7:30 | A | Hinsdale Central High School |
