Jose L. Herrera, 39, 96 E. Belecke Ave. No. 5, Addison, was arrested after Elmhurst officers responded to the Kohl's parking lot, 303 S. Route 83, at 9:07 p.m. Dec. 21 to assist Villa Park police with a theft report. A woman told police her purse and cell phone were stolen from Aldi's parking lot in Villa Park earlier that day. Her phone carrier was able to track her cell phone using GPS and located it in the Kohl's parking lot. Herrera was taken into custody by Villa Park police.

Someone took a platinum wedding ring from Courts Plus, 186 S. West Ave. between 7:30 and 7:50 p.m. Dec. 21. Loss is estimated at $3,200.

Two men were seen removing a Vivitar Vivicam T027 camera from Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, at 6:17 p.m. Dec. 22. They removed it from the packaging and left the store. The men were seen on security cameras as they left the store, but security officers lost sight of them once they got to the parking lot.

Two teen-agers took some type of alcohol or cold medicine from Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., at 7:13 p.m. Dec. 23. The two boys, ages 15 or 16, were last seen running northbound through the parking lot.

Someone smashed out a window at Accredo Therapeutics, 650 W. Grand Ave. Suite 102, at 11:12 a.m. Dec. 26. Police were called to the business after an alarm went off. A credenza in the office of a pharmacy manager appeared to have been rifled through and items were laying on the floor. Nothing else appeared to be disturbed, but a Zen MP3 player valued at $150 and a docking station valued at $100 were missing.
