Elmhurst Police Report Weekend Arrests for DUI, Assault and Battery
Arrests reported between Oct. 5 and 7.
Gonzalo Mendoza, 19, 443 N. Lake Shore Drive, Mundelein, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without insurance after his black GMC Jimmy hit a tree at Richard and East Court at 12:58 a.m. Oct. 5. He was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and released on bond.
Valeria Hernandez, 25, 218 Julia, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over a white Volkswagon for disobeying a traffic control signal at York and First at 12:13 a.m. Oct. 6. Hernandez was released on I-bond.
Kendrick A. Blake, 34, 183 Bloomingdale Court, Glendale Heights, was arrested and charged with DUI after police saw him pull his Chevrolet Suburban into a car wash at Interstate 290 and York Road at 5:27 a.m. Oct. 6. Police said the vehicle had a flat tire and front end damage. State police said witnesses observed the vehicle strike several walls along westbound I-290. He was released on I-bond.
Andre Ganea, 37, 441 N. Ridgeland, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his black Chevrolet Camaro for speeding at Armitage and Ridgeland at 1:08 a.m. Oct. 7. He was released on bond.
Eric Schoen, 19, 946 Bryan, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery and consumption of alcohol by a minor at his home at 12:58 a.m. Oct. 7. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Christine Jaroscak, 43, 888 S. Hawthorne, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at her home at 11:30 p.m. Oct. 7. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Nicholas Masella, 26, 1044 S. Addison, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with battery and disorderly conduct/public intoxication after he allegedly punched a victim in the face in the bathroom of a business on the 100 block of South York at 1:07 a.m. Oct. 6. Masella fled the scene and was later located and taken into custody, police said. The name of the business was not released in the police report.
Police were called to Dominick's, 215 S. Route 83, after a man threw a liquor bottle he was attempting to steal at a security officer and ran out of the store at 3:41 p.m. Oct. 5. The man is described as white, about 20 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall with black hair. He was seen on video surveillance and complaints will be signed if the offender is located.
