Bellwood Man Arrested for Delivery of Crack Cocaine and Heroin

DUI and cannabis arrests also reported.

Delivery of a Controlled Substance

An Elmhurst police investigation led to charges of delivery of a controlled substance for Jerome Banks, 47, 321 47th St., Bellwood. Police said Banks was found at 624 N. York St. at 8:22 p.m. Oct. 11 with 35 crack cocaine rocks weighing 14.3 grams, six bags of heroin weighing 1.4 grams and one Vicodin pill. His 2001 Pontiac Grand Am and $141 in cash were seized for forfeiture. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

DUI Arrests

Ivan E. Rodriguez, 29, 6035 Shelvurne, Humble, Texas, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over his black Ford F150 for improper lane use at St. Charles and Interstate 290 at 1:03 a.m. Oct. 11. He was released on bond.

Cuahutemul Villagomez, 42, 450 W. Touhy Lot 94, Des Plaines, was arrested and charged with DUI, illegal transportation of open alcohol and driving without insurance after police pulled over his black Dodge for parking on the roadway at North Avenue and Route 83 at 11:41 p.m. Oct. 13. He was released on bond.

Possession of Cannabis

Kailey Sutter, 21, 7070 Tunnell, Unionville, Ind., was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at 363 Commonwealth at 2:22 a.m. Oct. 7. She was released on I-bond.

Orlando Winfrey, 29, 3504 Rural St., Rockford, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over the tan Oldsmobile 88 he was riding in for expired registration at North and Shady Lane at 3 a.m. Oct. 7. Eric Whitehead, 29, 1319 S. Galena Ave., Freeport, was charged with expired registration. Both were released on I-bond.

Corinne Palermo, 32, 305 E. Lyndale, Northlake, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over her silver Nissan Altima for improper lane use at York and Second streets at 2:16 a.m. Oct. 14.

Warrant Arrest

Luis A. Gomez, 24, 225 W. Michael Lane Apt. 2, Addison, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license after police pulled over his Acura TL for obstructed view at Grand and York at 5:18 a.m. Oct. 10. Police said Gomez provided a false name and date of birth and admitted he did not have a drivers license. He also was charged with obstructing identification, driving without a license and driving without insurance. He was released on bond.
