Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Drinking and Disorderly Conduct
It's not just kids who are out there doing dumb things.
Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
Several people were arrested after a party at 236 E. Belden at 1:43 a.m. June 11. Two teenage girls told police they got into a confrontation with another group of girls. One of them was struck above her eye by an unknown offender. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of a cut. Police went to the home, where alcohol was being served, and found Michael J. Turacek, 22, and Robert Gerald Murphy, 22, who were hosting the party. They were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Dominique N. Perkins, 18, 525 Michigan St., Addison, and another teen were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor
Public Intoxication
Larry Bebo, 52, 766 N. Michigan, Elmhurst, was cited for public intoxication after he fell off of his bicycle at 1:08 p.m. June 10 at 128 First St. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment, then cited and released.
Possession of Alcohol in Public
David G. Kucera, 34, 9080 Grand Ave. #15, Franklin Park, was arrested and charged with possession of open liquor on public property after police responded to a call for a suspicious person near the tracks at Route 83 and Second Street. The complainant, a cab driver, reported Kucera nearly tumbled in front of his vehicle as he passed at 4:24 a.m. June 12. He was released on I-bond.
Disorderly Conduct
Three 17-year-old boys were charged with disorderly conduct for discharging a firearm after a victim called police saying he had been shot by a BB gun at 9:32 p.m. June 10 at York and First Street. The victim said the shots were fired from a white four-door sedan occupied by three boys. One of the teens reportedly admitted he and his friends shot the BB gun. They were released on I-bonds to their parents.
Francis J. Melion, 41, 212 W. St. Charles Road, was cited for disorderly conduct after he was seen urinating in the alley between 151 and 163 N. York Road at 11:54 p.m. June 15.
Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor
A 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of tobacco after police responded to Van Buren and Linden streets at 10:07 p.m. June 10 for a report of a suspicious person. He was released on I-bond to his mother.
Amelia R. Kaderabek, 20, 451 N. Evergreen Ave., and Scott A. Hildebrand, 19, 154 S. Berkley Ave., were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor at 2:59 a.m. June 14 at Elm and Fremont. Police were called to assist medics, who were called for injuries sustained when Kaderabek reportedly fell off her bike. She was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Both were released on I-bond.
Manuel Acevedo, 21, 233 S. Harvard, Addison, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and violation of park hours after police came upon a group of minors drinking alcohol at the top of the sled hill at Berens Park, 390 W. Gladys, at 2:12 a.m. June 15. Jorge Ramirez, 20, 411 Normandy Drive, Addison, Saul Esparaza, 19, 241 S. Harvard, Addison, and two 14-year-old girls were given citations under local ordinance for consumption of alcohol by a minor. Ramirez and Esparaza also were cited for violation of park hours, and the two girls also were cited for curfew violation. All four were released on I-bond to their parents. Acevedo also was released on I-bond.

The most disturbing part of that last report is the fact that 3 MEN, ages 21, 20 and 19 were with two 14 year old girls....not to mention the need to serve them alcohol at the top of a dark hill at 2:00 in the morning! UGH!
