Elmhurst District 205 Board Seeks Community Input on New Superintendent
This is your chance to be heard. Residents can complete an online survey or attend a focus group to share ideas.
The Elmhurst District 205 School Board invites the community to take one or both of the following opportunities to share your thoughts about the current superintendent search. The board met Jan. 4 to set a time line and discuss the process of seeking input from the community.
Input by District 205 staff and community is vital to the process of selecting a new superintendent.
Online Survey
Please complete a brief on-line survey. Reponses will be accepted through Jan. 21. For control purposes, only one response will be accepted per computer. Please click here to access the survey.
Focus Groups
Please attend a focus group session to personally give your input to one of the consultants. We have planned several sessions to accommodate staff and community:
Friday, Jan. 14: Field Elementary School Auditorium, 295 Emroy Ave., 1 to 2 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. These are general sessions open to anyone interested in providing input to the search consultants from School Exec Connect.
Tuesday, Jan. 18: York High School, Yorker Room, 355 W. St. Charles Rd., 4 to 5 p.m. for all District 205 staff and administrators; 5 to 6 p.m. for School Board candidates, community leaders, and civic and government leaders; and 6 to 7 p.m. for parents, PTA council members and community members.
Please note that all times and days are open to everyone; the groupings are simply suggestions.
The survey and focus group data will better clarify perceptions of the District 205 staff and community regarding District 205’s strengths and challenges, in addition to helping the Board gain a clear understanding of the attributes needed in the new superintendent. This information will be very helpful as interviews are conducted with selected candidates. Candidates will also find this information useful as they learn more about District 205 and its needs. The Board intends to take action on the new superintendent's contract at its March 8 meeting.

Maybe, Mr. Potter the richest man in Potterhurst will buy back his building he made such a killing on when he sold it to the nitwit's of Dist 205?

mr. gentile, thank you for your comments...it's always nice to know that there are people in the community that are willing to give such constructive criticism. i appreciate your fashion advice and will take it under consideration. i certainly hope that you intend on participating in the community forums and becoming as involved as you can in the process of choosing our next superintendent, as with our current one, you must also think has some wardrobe issues...please be sure to make this perfectly clear to the recruiters that you desire someone that dresses much more to your liking. mr. o'malley's comment struck me as being light-hearted, yet, right on - thank you mr. o'malley for making my day.
