Patch has created an interactive database so you can see how much your neighbors are donating to the presidential campaign—and to which candidate they’re writing their checks. We’ve included communities across Illinois, so if you want to see what the campaign contributions in nearby towns are like, go right ahead.
The information in the database was downloaded from the Federal Election Commission’s website. The data is based on FEC reports, and is current through Aug. 31.
Thanks. We'll email you the next time we update this story.

Who cares? That's my neighbors business, not mine.

What I really like to know and see in print is who is running for the districts. The neighbors business is not mine. The ones who want me to know put yard signs out.

How is this any person's business other than the person donating? Maybe you want to see protests at folks homes if they disagree with you? The time is close enough at hand where we will be at each other's throats, literally, thanks to the current administration's divide and conquer strategy. Just more divisiveness by a corrupt, complicit media. Shame on you!

Nice job Patch...Interesting to spot names of local business people. Might be a good excuse to look elsewhere for competitive services.

A new low............ This looks like an intimidation tactic to me. Will you be posting residents' tax returns and HIV status next?

Campaign donations are public records just like property tax bills.
Candidates are required to report. You can look up records of local candidates here:

Okay, this is bull. I have donated several times to Mitt, Roskam etc. and my name is nowhere on that list. So what's the point if it is incomplete? This is news? p.s. George P. thank you for the link to that site.
