DuPage DUI Arrests: Feb. 10 Edition

Feb. 3: Michael D. Ammerman, 49, of the 5500 block of Jennifer Court, Yorkville, was charged with DUI after he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop near the intersection of County Line Road and I-55 at 2:17 a.m., and refused an ensuing breath test, police said. He was released to appear in court.
Feb. 5: Alberto Cortez-Perez, 46, of the 7300 block of Tennessee in Willowbrook, was arrested around 2:22 a.m. near Main and 63rd streets, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and was cited for improper lane usage and no valid driver's license. He was issued a March 13 court date.
Feb. 1: Rachel L. Bolt, 22, of the 4500 block of Prince Street in Downers Grove, was arrested around 2:22 a.m. near 63rd and Carpenter streets, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis. She was also cited for improper lane usage and failure to signal. She was issued a March 6 court date.
Jan. 31: Bruce J. Bleffer, 55, of the 600 block of Green Valley Drive in Lombard, was arrested around 11:11 p.m. in the 3900 block of Saratoga Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and was issued a Feb. 27 court date.
Feb. 6: Heather Coco, 41, of 160 E. LeMoyne, Lombard, was on her way to the Elmhurst Police Station to discuss charges that she broke her ex-boyfriend's window when she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol by another officer. The officer did not know she was a suspect in the vandalism case, police said.
It began when a man contacted police at 11:45 p.m. Feb. 5 and said he was having ongoing problems with Coco, his ex-girlfriend. He said Coco was repeatedly texting and calling him. He said he then heard the sound of breaking glass and saw an older model Chevy Monte Carlo he believed to be driven by Coco parked on the south side of his home, on the 400 block of North Walnut.
Police contacted Coco and asked her to come to the station. While en route at 12:49 a.m. Feb. 6, another officer pulled over the green Oldsmobile 88 Coco was driving at West and Alexander. She was charged with two counts of DUI, driving without insurance, speeding, violating a stop sign and expired plates. She also was cited for vandalism and released on I-bond.
Feb. 1: Ivica Lazich, 35, of the 7800 block of West 45th Place, Lyons, was charged with DUI after he appeared to be under the influence during a speeding stop near the intersection of 55th and Grant streets at 3:06 a.m., and refused an ensuing breath test, police said. He was released to appear in court.
Feb. 4: Evelyn Regalado, 26, 560 Lawrence Ave., Roselle, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 8:40 p.m. in the 900 block of Warrenville Road, Lisle police said.
Jan. 31: Dar Fazio, 30, of the 1500 block of Fairway Drive, Lisle, was arrested at 2:17 a.m. on the 300 block of Chestnut Street in Batavia. He posted $100 on a credit card and his driver's license for bond. Fazio received a Feb. 27 court date. He was also cited for DUI: Alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, disobeying a stop or yield sign (two citations), improper signal (three citations) and speeding.
- Rosario Torres, 36, of the 0-100 block of Fernwood in Bolingbrook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to signal. Police stopped her at 3:05 a.m. in the 6800 block of Wainwright after noticing the traffic violations.
- Tysheka Strong, 23, of the 6700 block of S. Artesian in Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, improper backing and driving without a valid license or insurance. Police responded to a traffic incident at 8:55 p.m. in the 7300 block of Woodward and said they discovered Strong had been drinking.
Jan. 25: Toby Paulose, 33, of the 400 block of 74th Street in Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and failure to signal. Police stopped Paulose at 8:54 p.m. near Hobson and Woodridge Drive.
