It must be spring, because the choices for things to do this weekend are endless. You can check out the church rummage and bake sale at First United Methodist Friday morning, partake in a discussion or exhibit at any of the wonderful museums in town or get in a good workout at Berens Park.

What/Where: Healthy Kids Day 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Elmhurst YMCA, 211 W. First St.
Why go: Fun for families: dodgeball, Zumba and Sh’Bam, kids' cookbooks, fire and bicycle safety demonstrations, healthy foods and health screenings, projects for kids, inflatable jumper, raffle and so much more. And, everyone gets a goody bag.
Cost: Free

What/where: Little Shop of Horrors, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday at Elmhurst College Mill Theatre, 253 Walter St.
Why go: The popular rock musical features a carnivorous plant named Audrey II, which quickly outgrows its unassuming dirt-filled pot and threatens to take over the world, relegating the human population to its personal all-you-can-eat smorgasbord.
Cost: $7 general admission; $6 for seniors, faculty and staff; $5 for students

What/where: Annual Prairie Path Cleanup, 9 a.m. Saturday at the Old Train Depot, York and South streets

What/where: CSI: Elmhurst for kids in grades six through 12, 1 p.m. Saturday at Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave.
Why go: Elmhurst Police Evidence Unit will present an introduction to crime scene investigation and demonstrations of evidence collection equipment.
Cost: Free, but call 630-279-8696 to reserve a spot.

What/where: Kmang Kmang, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethel United Church of Christ, 315 E. St. Charles Road
Why go: This classical guitar "trip hop" group founded by composer Barney Vishnu Ung features elements of electronics, rock and jazz fusion with world influences in genres such as flamenco, samba and Cambodian music.
Cost: $20

What/where: Music Jam Night, 5 p.m. Sunday at Pizza Palace, 117 N. Addison Ave.
Why go: This event puts the "fun" in fund-raiser. Ashlyn Kelley, a freshman at York, and her Relay for Life team, Bigger Infinities, are hosting Music Jam Night to raise money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. When Ashlyn came up with the idea, she asked her friends who sang or were in bands if they wanted to perform. One friend made a Facebook event page, and that's when things took off. As of today, nine bands are confirmed, with a few more pending.
Cost:$7 per person, includes one raffle ticket

What/where: Elmhurst Kitchen Expedition, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at six Elmhurst homes
Why go: Elmhurst Junior Women's Club will sponsor a kitchen tour at six Elmhurst homes: 243 N. Clinton, 478 S. Washington, 369 E. Madison, 455 S. Kenilworth, 110 E. Wilson and 569 S. Fairview. Visitors are guaranteed to see some amazing kitchens. Event sponsor Dan Wangler Builders also will host a free reception from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 138 W. Park Ave. Proceeds benefit Special Kid’s Day, United Community Concerns Association and EJWC Scholarship Fund.
