A Second Burglary Reported in Elmhurst This Week
Thief got away with computer and gaming equipment.
Someone broke into a home on Four Seasons Court, which is just southeast of the intersection of Commonwealth Lane and Butterfield Road in Elmhurst, between 7:10 a.m. and 3:33 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, and stole about $2,500 worth of electronics.
The homeowners told police that the burglar entered the home through an unlocked window and left a trail of mud throughout the house.
Taken were an Xbox, a PlayStation, Beats headphones, two laptops, a tablet, an iPod, several HDMI cables and power cords.
Police said they have "no solid suspects," and interviews with neighbors didn't turn up any new information.
This is the second burglary reported in Elmhurst this week. A handgun, laptop and $5,600 in cash were taken from a home on Highview Tuesday.
