Some 34 youngsters and seven adults from First United Methodist Church braved the cold last Saturday, Nov. 3, to raise awareness and money to fight homelessness.
The group was one of many throughout DuPage County participating in the annual Sleep Out Saturday event to benefit Bridge Communities. They slept outside in 30-degree temperatures in boxes and tents to help change the plight of the homeless in DuPage.
The event kicked off with a rally in dowtown Glen Ellyn that featured testimony from Bridge Communities clients.
