Reservations for Vendor Booths at Elmhurst Garden Walk Being Accepted; Advance Ticket Sales in June

Elmhurst Garden Club members in cooperation with the Elmhurst Park District and the owners of eight very special gardens in Elmhurst are busy preparing for the 17th annual Elmhurst Garden Walk and Faire scheduled for Sunday, July 8. In addition to the eight gardens and the very popular boutique area with booths selling varied and unique items in Wilder Park, the Walk and Faire will feature
a Chinese herb garden in Wilder Park and a deli luncheon and an art show of works by local artists in Wilder Mansion. 

Vendors of garden-related items may now reserve booth space for the boutique in Wilder Park. Applications are available on the Elmhurst Garden Club website, www.elmhurstgardenwalk.com. The application deadline is June 10. The charge for a booth space is $50; if additional space is required, the charge is an additional $20. Tickets for the Garden Walk may be purchased in advance for $15 each and will be available prior to the day of the Walk beginning in June at the following Elmhurst locations: Amlings Flowers-Petal Pushers, 331 North York; Enzee Boutique, 140 N. York; Elmhurst Camera, 535 Spring Road; NuCara-Vallette Pharmacy, 101 W. Vallette; The Uptown Shop, 111 E. First Street; and the Vallette/York Farmers Market. Tickets may also be purchased for $20 each on the day of the event at the Garden Club booth in Wilder Park.

The Garden Walk is the major fund raiser to finance the Club's Mildred Hartney College Scholarship Fund and to support other community projects. Since the Garden Walks began, more than $170,000 in proceeds have been donated by the Club for these uses. Applications for the scholarships are now being accepted and can be found on the Club website, www.elmhurstgardenwalk.com.
