IC Kicks Off Catholic Schools Week With Open House

  • February 1, 2012
  • Name: Immaculate Conception Schools
  • Occasion: Catholic Schools Week

On Sunday, Jan. 29, Immaculate Conception Grade School and High School kicked off Catholic Schools Week, an annual national celebration of the important role that Catholic elementary and secondary schools across the country play in providing a values-added education for America’s young people.

Students from both the grade school and the high school served as greeters, lectors, choir members, musicians, cantors and Eucharistic ministers at the 9 a.m. Sunday Mass. Afterward, both schools held open houses and invited school families, parishioners and prospective families to tour the schools. At ICGS, student ambassadors and school board members were on hand to serve as tour guides. ICGS also held its new student registration during the open house.
