It’s Pinewood Derby season in Elmhurst. 

Many local Cub Scout Packs will be hosting Pinewood Derby races in the coming weeks, and 6th Ward Alderman Steve Morley continues his tradition of helping scouts and parents as they build their pinewood cars. 

On Feb. 12, he conducted his seventh annual Pinewood 101 class.  In the class Morley, a former Cub Scout Den Leader at Jefferson School, shared fundamentals and tips regarding car construction and design. 

Attendees included parents and scouts from Jefferson Cub Scout Pack 15 and Visitation Cub Scout pack 14.
