Elmhurst Park District Earns Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

ELMHURST, Ill. – For the sixth year in a row, the Elmhurst Park District has earned the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.  In order to receive the award for its 2012 budget, the Park District had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation that assess how well an entity’s budget serves as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications device. 

The award reflects the Park District’s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.  According to the Government Finance Officers Association, “Award recipients have pioneered efforts to improve the quality of budgeting and provide an excellent example for other governments throughout North America.”  For more information and to view the Elmhurst Park District’s budget please visit http://www.epd.org/budget/index.asp.
